Friday afternoon The St. Patrick's Day Metairie Road Parade is a family-friendly parade that takes place on Metairie Road in Old Metairie. The parade was founded in 1971 and features over 100 floats trucks bands marching clubs and throws. 2025 Parade Lineup. The 2025 St. Patrick’s Day parade on Metairie Road promises to be a vibrant celebration, with a tentative lineup featuring an exciting mix of local favorites and new additions. Expect to see traditional Irish bands, elaborate floats, and energetic dance troupes creating a festive atmosphere. Maintain the St Patrick Day parade on the current and historic Old Metairie route. The 2-mile course will proceed down the parade route on Metairie Road finishing at Frisco Avenue, just before the train tracks and Winston’s Pub & Patio, where the post-race party will take place.
